Award-winning salon and first vintage-inspired salon in Philadelphia
Owner Alanna Ralph opened Salon Blush in 2007 with the goal of providing one-of-a-kind salon and spa services for both women and men. Salon Blush pays homage to the era of the 1930s to 1950s with its classic beauty and timeless style. The salon is decked out in vintage antiques, and retro tunes play on the radio as we offer a modern spin on classic beauty.
We also provide photography services to showcase your fabulous new look or inner bombshell. As you might expect from a vintage-inspired salon, we specialize in pin-up and boudoir photography, as well as offering a full range of wedding, prom, pregnancy, family, and group photography packages.
As part of the one-of-a-kind experience we provide our clients, Salon Blush uses Blush Apothecary and Blush Cosmetics products. Blush Apothecary is an all-natural, organic skincare line mixed just for you during your treatment and tailored to your individual skincare needs. Blush Cosmetics is a custom makeup line, created to highlight your unique beauty.
Salon Blush has received numerous awards, including voted Best Haircut in Philadelphia in 2015; Runner-up Best Haircolor, Best Makeup, and Best Facials in Philadelphia in 2015; Best Haircolor, Best Makeup, and Best Cut in Philadelphia in 2014; Philly Happening’s Best Makeup in 2014; Philly Happening’s Best Hair Color in 2013; Fishtown Star’s Best Salon 2008-2013; Image Awards’ Best Blowout in 2010; and Philly Hot List’s Top 10 Best Salon, Massage, and Facials.

Diane has been in the industry for 15 years, since she attended the Jean Madeline Aveda Institute in 2000. After being at Salon Blush for six years, she is now the manager! Diane has been featured in a TLC makeover story and has published work in Guiseppina Magazine, Cheesecake Magazine, and in a catalogue for Deb Shops. She is a color perfectionist and is fabulous with Ombre, color melts, and highlights. Plus, her vintage hair skills are flawless! This South Philly native loves the colors grey and yellow, her kids’ pets, avocadoes, and getting drinks with the girls after work.
Camille is a makeup artist, hair stylist, and all-around color enthusiast. Her career started when she worked as a model and would help the other girls with their hair and makeup at backstage photoshoots and fashion shows. Cosmetology quickly became her main focus. She attended the Jean Madeline Aveda Institute and has been in the industry for eight years. There is nothing more satisfying for her than making other women feel beautiful when they look in the mirror. When she’s not working, Camille loves to paint and sketch, see awesome bands play, and visit museums and art shows. Just never challenge her to a dance battle unless you are ready to lose!
After working in the industry for six years, Sam stumbled upon Salon Blush one year ago, and she loves it here! She gets her inspiration from experimenting with color and learning new styles and techniques. Although hairstyling is her passion, this fun-loving New Jersey resident loves laughing, online shopping, and anything with pineapples. Come to Blush so she can play with your hair!
Jenna has been in the beauty industry for eight years. She began her career in Bensalem after attending the Levittown Beauty Academy. After working in Bensalem from the ages of 16 to 24, she began working at Salon Blush, where she has been for two years. She loves that behind the chair she is able to make someone feel better about themselves. She plans on furthering her education by taking as many classes as she can. She loves the colors red and black, hippos, snowboarding, tattoos, and craft beer.
Mindy grew up surrounded by the salon industry and has always had a knack for hair and makeup. Three years ago she decided to bite the bullet and jump full force into cosmetology, which she considers the best thing she’s ever done for herself. She is both a licensed cosmetologist and esthetician. Her ombres are boss- if you need an arch in your eyebrows she’s got you. She is also an amateur ukulele player, salsa dancer by night, and a scatterbrained perfectionist 24-7.
Alaina has been in the business since 2003. Born in Philly, she has styled for fashion shows, films, music videos, promotions, and private events. Alaina has been back in the Philadelphia area since 2010 after living in LA. She excels in men’s haircutting and barbering, hair color, Brazilian keratin treatment, facial waxing, and makeup. Bonus points if you bring her coffee!
Jennifer’s title is Salon Coordinator- call Blush and most likely it will be her voice you hear. She has been with Salon Blush for four years. Her background is in administration and social planning which comes in handy around the Salon. She is the Elder of the gals and naturally takes on the “Mama Blush” role. But she can still run circles around these beauties!
